About Us
With its natural, secluded atmosphere Haltiwanger Retreat provides the perfect setting for getting out into God’s creation and taking a much-needed rest. Haltiwanger Retreat has always been in the business of offering rest and recovery from the busyness of everyday life.
Originally, Haltiwanger Retreat was built as a safe haven for those going through hardships. Today, the property is owned by the Hudson family. The Retreat property has served its community well since it was built in 1989 and the Hudson family intends to continue that legacy as they host you and your group!
The Haltiwanger Retreat is a spacious 5-bedroom cabin nestled in the heart of the Uwharrie National Forest. Accommodating up to 30 guests, it offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The Uwharrie National Forest is known for numerous trails and is ideal for hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATV trailing, and much more!

- Living Area- multiple couches, 2 extra long wooden dining tables with chairs
- Kitchen- stove, refrigerator, 2 microwaves, coffee maker, blender, essential cookware and dishes.

- Living Area- seating overlooking lower floor with large windows overlooking lake. Additional bed available in upstairs living area

Other things to note
Linens are not included but are available upon request for an additional fee of $20 per person. Each bundle includes a fitted and flat sheet, pillow cases, towels, a wash cloth, and a light blanket
